What we’ll do together

You’ll gain hands-on experience with running a Puzzle-Solving Week: a structured approach that combines user research with rapid AI prototyping in a daily cycle of interviewing, reflecting, and adapting. You’ll leave with practical techniques for using AI to solve harder problems faster while avoiding the AI product diseases that trap high-performing teams.

Introductions and the core material

We start with the people in the room, then walk through how AI amplifies the product diseases teams already have, and why moving faster only pays off when the direction is clear.

Design a Puzzle-Solving Week

In groups of five, you’ll design a week around a real puzzle: what you need to learn, which experiments come first, and how you’ll know you were wrong.

Conduct user interviews for exploratory research

Run exploratory interviews on the spot to find the problem worth solving, rather than validating the solution you already had in mind.

AI prototyping based on what you heard

Turn the interview insights into a working prototype with your vibe-coding tool of choice. Bring a tool you already use, or team up with someone in your group who has one.

Run user testing with your prototype

Put the prototype in front of real people in the room and watch where your assumptions hold up and where they fall apart.

Reflect on learnings and how you’ll adapt

Close the loop: what you learned, what you’d change, and how to keep this cycle running once you’re back with your team.

Radhika Dutt

Author of Radical Product Thinking: The New Mindset for Innovating Smarter

Radhika Dutt is the author of Radical Product Thinking: The New Mindset for Innovating Smarter which has been translated into languages including Chinese and Japanese. She is an entrepreneur and product leader who has participated in five acquisitions, two of which were companies that she founded. She advises organizations from high-tech startups to government agencies on building radical products that create a fundamental change. She is currently Advisor on Product Thinking to the Monetary Authority of Singapore, and serves on the board of the independent publisher, Berrett Koehler. Radhika has built products in a wide range of industries including broadcast, media and entertainment, telecom, advertising technology, government, consumer apps, robotics, and even wine. She graduated from MIT with an SB and M.Eng in Electrical Engineering, and speaks nine languages.
